Exploring the Best of Buckhead: A Perfect Weekend Staycation Guide

ree

When I decided to take a weekend getaway without leaving Atlanta, Buckhead immediately came to mind. Known for its upscale vibe, excellent dining, and vibrant nightlife, Buckhead offers everything you need for a refreshing staycation. If you’re a traveler or foodie looking for a quick break, here’s how you can enjoy the best of Buckhead in just a couple of days.

Where to Stay: The Tess Hotel Experience

My weekend started with checking into the Tess Hotel in Buckhead. This boutique hotel stands out with its modern design and warm atmosphere. The rooms are spacious, with large windows offering stunning views of the city skyline. What I appreciated most was the attention to detail—from the plush bedding to the thoughtful amenities that made me feel right at home.

The hotel’s location is ideal, placing you within a short distance of many top restaurants and shops. Plus, the rooftop known as Tesserae is a must-visit. It offers a relaxed setting with panoramic views. Enjoy breakfast in the morning, unwind during happy hour or party at night. The perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. Watching the sunset from there while sipping a craft cocktail was one of my favorite moments.

Dining Highlights: Little Alley Steakhouse

I had the pleasure of attending a private banquet at Little Alley Steakhouse. The ambiance is elegant yet inviting, making it perfect for a special dinner or celebration. The vibe is intimate, the service is amazing and the cocktails were flowing!

I enjoyed the Moroccan-Style Shrimp appetizer and an 8oz Barrel Cut Fillet that had been wet aged 28 days! I rounded out my meal with sides of Brussel Sprouts, green beans and mac & cheese.

Exploring Buckhead’s Rooftop Scene

One of the highlights of my staycation was discovering Buckhead’s rooftop venues. Besides the Thompson Hotel’s rooftop, I visited a few other spots that offer great views and a fun vibe. Rooftop bars here combine stylish décor with comfortable seating, making them perfect for both daytime lounging and evening socializing.

If you want to experience Buckhead from above, these rooftops provide a unique perspective of Atlanta’s skyline. Whether you’re enjoying a light bite or a cocktail, the open-air setting adds a refreshing touch to your weekend getaway.

Activities and Relaxation in Buckhead

Beyond dining and rooftop views, Buckhead offers plenty of ways to relax and explore. I took a stroll through the local shops and boutiques, finding unique gifts and stylish apparel. The area also has several spas where you can book a massage or facial to unwind completely.

Wrapping Up Your Buckhead Staycation

Spending a weekend in Buckhead gave me a fresh perspective on how close luxury and comfort can be without leaving Atlanta. From the stylish rooms at the Tess Hotel to the mouthwatering meals at Little Alley, every moment felt special. The rooftop views added a magical touch.
