If you love the look of salon-quality nails but prefer the convenience of doing them at home, the BTArtbox Half Matte Soft Gel Tips might just be your new best friend. These soft gel tips promise durability, style, and ease of application—all without sacrificing the flexibility needed for everyday tasks. But do they live up to the hype? Let’s dive into the details!
What’s in the Box?
The BTArtbox Half Matte Soft Gel Tips come in a neatly organized case with 320 nail tips in 16 different sizes, ensuring a perfect fit for every nail shape. The half-matte finish helps create a seamless look while also cutting down on prep time. Since they come pre-buffed, you don’t have to worry about manually roughening up the surface—just apply and go!
Why I Chose These Nail Tips
I was searching for a gel nail system that was not only stylish but also functional. A common issue with longer nails is that they can get in the way of daily activities, but these soft gel tips strike the perfect balance. They feel lightweight yet durable, allowing me to type, text, and go about my day without discomfort.
How to Apply
For this application, I used the BTArtbox Xcoat Gel Glue, Xcoat Builder Gel, and Xcoat Top Coat. Here’s a step-by-step breakdown:
Step 1: Prepping the Nails
Lightly buff your natural nails to create a good surface for adhesion.
Pre-select the nail tip sizes that best fit your nails.
Step 2: Applying the Tips
Apply a thin layer of Xcoat Gel Glue to your natural nails. According to the instructions, no curing is needed at this stage.
Add a small amount of Gel Glue to the underside of each gel tip.
Position the tip at an angle at the base of your nail and press down until the glue reaches the free edge.
Flash cure for 15 seconds to hold the tip in place.
Once all the nails are applied, do a final cure for 60 seconds under a UV/LED lamp.
Final Look & Thoughts
Once the nails were fully secured, I applied a gorgeous coral red gel polish to complete the look. The process was just like using any other gel polish—base coat, color, and top coat for a flawless finish.
Overall, I’m in love with these gel tips! They’re sturdy, natural-looking, and easy to apply, making them a fantastic option for anyone looking to do their nails at home. If you’re new to soft gel tips, BTArtbox makes the process super simple with their pre-buffed design and high-quality gel glue system.
Would I recommend them? Absolutely!
